Cartoonist shouldn't think twice !!

About Tunisian teachers Hypocrisy
"Abu Nadhara" (in Arabic) or "The Intellectual Owl" (as it's indicated in the drawing)  is one of my cartoon characters but it became latter the best one ever !

When I was a student at Institute of Press and Information Sciences (IPSI), I was interested in Press History.

During our journalistic studies, we had to learn about different press history in the world, especially in Tunisia and in the Arab World (Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, ect.).

At that time, it was funny to read about humorist press History, in particular the Egyptian Press.
I was impressed by one of the most important humorist magazine which called "Abu Nadhara" (who's wearing a glasses) ; it was a cute publication created by a Jews Egyptian whose name is "Yaakoub Sanoue".

Sanoue has a strong feather, he didn't stop criticising   Egyptian governments and its decisions, he was writing a cute and hot articles not only about political issues but about social causes too.
I appriciated "Abu Naddara" I was looking at it as a nice humorist magazine, an objective, free journalism and one of the most publication" pro-Egyptian people".
About higher education in Tunisia and its weakness

It was a free journalistic sound at the tough time , it was original as it had been published in  Arabic and local dialect (Egyptian dialect ),it showed at that time the Egyptian suffering under the injust royal regime  and its unfair leaders .

Abu Nadhara was a real medium working for the good of the big kingdom of Egypt and Sudan and its people.

My dear humorist magazine"Abu Nadhara" had been banned later ! but its militancy history still awake to be learned as a reference in the Arab press history.

After 14th January 2011, I'd started to think seriously about my cartoon's talent, I began thinking about a cartoonist carrier, so I decided to take the risk to draw and to publish my first cartoon in the Tunisian Press, I showed two draws to my editor in chief, and he appreciated my efforts, so he decided to publish it for me.

I was so happy, I didn't stop drawing cartoons till now, cartoonists shouldn't think twice to begin a new adventure!

Since 2012, I created "Abu Nadhara Tounssi" (The Tunisian Intellectual Owl), I draw a cute owl wearing a glasses, because culture and scientific research were so marginalized in Tunisia .

Even if "Owl" was a hated bird and it was a bad sign in the Tunisian popular imagination, but I choose to draw it as a cartoon character because I'm believing in this expression :
"Good sometimes seems bad and Bad sometimes seems good"

About the Tunisian government and its new structure
Abu Nadhara didn't stop criticizing bad decision taken by the Tunisian government, bad habits in the Tunisian society, bad cultural  treatment , bad politician declarations, bad traditions and bad facts in the world.
The intellectual Owl is existing now on  Facebook .
Don't hesitate to join us !
